HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to "gossip." In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members who are getting acting and performance gigs.

Caridad De La Luz (also known by her nom de poésie La Bruja) will be performing her poetry at Fordham University in the Bronx this month.

Elizabeth Rivera de García will act in the play Las hermanas coraje. Written and directed by Odilia Rivera Santos, the show will also feature Andrea Lomanto, Frances Lozada, Mery Trochez and Aimé Alonzo in the cast and will be presented for a May run in the Roy Arias Studios in the theater district of midtown Manhattan.

Casandra Kate Escobar e-mailed us to tell us that she booked a role in the Michael Erickson play People Like Us. Produced by Plays for Living, the show will tour the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Teatro IATI will present Playing Schechner in April. An intimate sharing of the participants of IATI's Directing Lab, it features work by directors Yolanny Rodríguez, Andrés Correa and Leni Méndez; playwrights García Guerra, Correa and Monti; and actors Ydaiber Orozco, Mariana Buoninconti and Héctor P. Pereyra. The event will take place at Ripley-Grier in the theater district of midtown Manhattan.

If you are an HOLA member and want to submit a bochinche item, send us an e-mail at holagram@hellohola.org. If you are not an HOLA member, why not join?
