Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Aileene Pérez, Héctor Luis Rivera and Raúl Rivera were mentioned in the column by Lissette Montolío in the weekly New York newspaper La Voz Hispana where their roles in the production Teatro Experimental Blue Amigos (TEBA) production of Mirandolina (La posadera) were noted (namely those of lead actress, director/producer, and sound technician, respectively). The play was presented in June as part of the seventh annual Festival de Teatro Latino Del Comisionado at the Teatro Rafael Villalona at El Comisionado Dominicano de Cultura en EEUU, located in Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood. Also mentioned in the column were actor-producers Edison Carrera and Julio Ortega, where their careers in New York (and abroad) were highlighted. Víctor Cruz hosted the second annual Father's Day Domino Tournament presented by Urban Lifestyle Media. The event took place in June at Sofrito, located in the Manhattan's Harlem neighborhood. For more information, click here.
