HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Marlene Fortéshown at right, will have recurring roles on two television series. The first is "A.P.B." (Fox), where she will play Mita. The second is "Altered Carbon" (Netflix), where she will play Alazne Ortega (and for which she was featured in an article in Deadline– to read the article, click here).

Eduardo Leáñez and Patrick E. Horrigan will present their latest incarnation of their Actors With Accents performance series. The event will take place on Thursday, October 27, 2015 at Teatro SEA, at The Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural and Educational Center (home to HOLA) located in Manhattan's Loísaida neighborhood. Éric-Dominique Pérez, shown at left, in character as Chucky Drumpfstarred in the short film Crusade in Wonderland: Rise of the Drumpf (directed by Alejandro Marín). The short film will have its world premiere screening at Stage 48, located in the Hell's Kitchen/Clinton area of Manhattan. For more information on the film, click here

David Zayas is co-starring in the feature film Shine (written by Anthony Nardolillo, Corey Deshon and Ahmadu Garba, based on characters by Fred Lozano; directed by Nardolillo).

HOLA Awards recipient Susan Rybin and Jesús del Orden, who is currently acting on Broadway as Young Lola in the Fierstein-Lauper musical Kinky Boots, were interviewed by Isolda Peguero on her web interview show "El Rincón de Isolda".
