HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. 2015 HOLA Awards recipient Liza Colón-Zayas, shown at right, is returning to her role as Delores Rodríguez for another guest-starring appearance on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (NBC). The episode should before the end of 2015.

Caridad de la Luz (also known by her nom de poésie et de musique La Bruja) will be performing in October at the Festival de la Palabra at the Paseo de la Princesa in Viejo San Juan, Puerto Rico. For more information, click here (note that the website is in Spanish).

José Sepúlveda is starring in the short film Live Young, Wild & Free. Written and directed by Blake Pruitt, the film is an official selection of the NewFest: The NYC LGBT Film Festival, taking place in October at the Bow Tie Chelsea Cinemas (as part of the In Youth Is Pleasure: Shorts) in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood. Rigoberto García, shown at left, filmed a guest role in "The Mysteries of Laura" (NBC). The episode is scheduled to air in the U.S. on Wednesday night, October 21, 2015 (check local listings).

Due to popular demand, the theatrical piece Elenita is being presented again for a command performance on Saturday, October 24, 2015. Adapted by 2015 HOLA Awards recipient (and 
2015 HOLA Performer's Choice Award recipientHéctor Luis Rivera from a text by Federico García Lorca, the play is directed by 2015 HOLA Performer's Choice Award recipient Raúl Rivera and will be presented at the Fort George Presbyterian Church, located in the Washington Heights area of Manhattan.
