Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Pablo García Gámez, shown at right, is had his play, Noche tan linda (a winner of several 2014 HOLA Awards), published in the late 2015 edition of Conjunto, the magazine of the Casa de las Américas, which is based in Havana, Cuba. For more information, click here (the site is in Spanish).
Yvette Quintero will be performing in CyberSex– The Play. Written and directed by Jason Duval Hunter, the play will be presented as part of the My True Colors Arts and Film Festival in June at the Faison Firehouse Theater, located in Manhattan's Harlem neighborhood. The Tabula Rasa NYC production of El invierno de Abril was featured in the local newspaper Queens Latino. Written by Ricardo Sarmiento Gaffurri and directed by Ramiro Antonio Sandoval, the play stars Jorge Luis Berríos, Carla Blasi, Soraya Padrao, Asier Kintana, Ángela Pérez, and will run in June as part of the V Festival del Teatro Hispano del Comisionado Dominicano de Cultura en EEUU at the Comisionado performance space in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan. Eduardo Leáñez was interviewed by Víctor Javier Solano for the Univision program "Acá entre nos", where he spoke on his solo show You Are Confused! Written by Leáñez and Patrick E. Horrigan, and directed by Rosalie Purvis, the show takes place in June at the Henry Warren Theater, located in the Bath Beach section of Brooklyn.
