Laura Gómez ’s short film To Kill A Roach (which she wrote, produced and directed and in which she stars), will be screened in June at the Dominican Film Festival of New York (DFFNY). The movie starred Gómez, Iván Camilo, Jenniffer Díaz, Gabriela García, Rosie Berrido, Gabriel Gutiérrez and Puy Navarro in the cast. (Edwin Pagán handled cinematography duties.) Eduardo Leáñez will be performing the solo show You Are Confused! (written by Leáñez and Patrick E. Horrigan and directed by Rosalie Purvis) on Friday, July 19, 2013 as part of the 2013 Fresh Fruit Festival. The show will take place at The Wild Project, located in Manhattan’s Loísaida neighborhood.
