Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Mayté Hernández and Luis Alberto García, shown above, left to right, was featured in Broadway World, as a result of their co-starring roles in the Group of the Arts (GOTA) production Otra historia. Written by Pedro Monge Rafuls, the play is being directed by J. Edgar Mozoub and presented in May as part of the FuerzaFest Latino LGBTQ+ festival at the Julia De Burgos Cultural Center, located in Manhattan's El Barrio neighborhood. Zahaira Curiel will be performing in the musical improv show Mom's in Town. The performance will take place on Monday, May 1, 2017 at The People's Improv Theater (The P.I.T.)'s The Striker space, located in Manhattan's Rose Hill district. Elaine Del Valle, shown at left, wrote, directed, produced and stars in the short film Final Decision. Also starring Berto Colón and Elyn Jaime Jenkins, the film is headed for the film festival circuit, with its next stop being in June at the Philadelphia Latino Film Festival in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Lucio Fernández and Asier Kintana co-star in the upcoming film El Cóndor en New York. Written and directed by Alejandro Nieto-Polo, the film, a sequel to the writer-director's 2016 film Súper Cóndor, is currently in production.
