Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Jesús E. Martínez, shown at right, will be co-starring in the Marco Antonio Rodríguez stage adaptation of the Julia Álvarez best-selling novel En el nombre de Salomé. Directed by José Zayas, the production of the same name will premiere in February at Repertorio Español, located in the Rose Hill neighborhood of Manhattan. For more information, click here.
Liza Colón-Zayas is starring in the world premiere of Nick Gandiello's play The Blameless. Directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch, the production will be presented in February and march at the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre/Conrad Prebys Theatre Center in The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, California. David Zayas, shown at left, was featured in Howl magazine as a result of his starring role in the Paul Calderón play Fringe of Humanity.
