HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to "gossip". In this sense, we use it to highlight HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

Pablo Andrade, shown at right, and his production company, Corezón, have been quite busy of late with a pair of projects. First up is the Pablo García Gámez play Olvidadas. Directed by Diego M. Chiri and starring Noëlle Mauri and Rosie Berrido, it will be presented in May as part of the FUERZAfest - Latino LGBTQ Fest, taking place in May at the Julia de Burgos Latino Cultural Center in Manhattan's El Barrio neighborhood. The second project is the Karin Valecillo play Lo que Kurt Cobain se llevó. The play will be directed by Andrade, star Max Sir, Yessi Hernández and Diego M. Chiri and be presented in June as part of the VI Festival de Teatro Hispano del Comisionado, taking place at the Comisionado Dominicano de Cultura en EEUU (located in Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood). For more information on both projects, click here.

Mateo Gómez and Teresa Yenque are starring in the short film Friendship (written and directed by Rose Berrido, who also stars). The film will have its world premiere screening on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at The Poet's Den Theater in Manhattan's El Barrio neighborhood as part of the Viva! Latino Film Festival International. David Zayas starred in the feature film Shine (written by Corey Deshon, Ahmadu Garba, and Anthony Nardolillo and directed by Nardolillo). The film is currently in post-production.

Danny García starred in the online comedy sketch titled "Water Cooler Homies" (The Flama), which can be seen below. [Note: Some strong language.]
