The play which opened to mixed reviews April 22, 2012 at the Broadhurst Theater under the direction of Emily Mann.
The revival is produced by Stephen C. Byrd and Alia M. Jones of Front Row Productions, who were also behind the Tony Award-winning all-African-American revival of Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof on Broadway in 2008. That production later transferred to London, garnering the Olivier Award for Best Revival.
