HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Natalia Ivana Escobarshown at rightis in the cast of the New York company of Point Break LIVE! Written, produced and directed by Jaime Keeling, the production will have performances in March at The Sinclair (in Cambridge, Massachusetts) and in April at The Highline Ballroom (in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood). The play is an interactive theater piece which spoofs the Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze movie vehicle, Point Break (written by W. Peter Iliff from a story by Iliff and Rick King, and directed by Academy Award winner Kathryn Bigelow), and selects a member of the audience to portray Reeves's character, Johnny Utah (who is then given the lines on stage during the show). Caridad de la Luz
 
(also known by her nom de poésie et de musique La Bruja) will be hosting the Women For Women event presented by LatinosNYC. The evening will feature performers Helena Lewis, Suni Reyes and J.F. Seary, and will take place on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the Nuyorican Poets' Café in Manhattan's Loísaida neighborhood. For more information, click here.

Elizardi Castro appeared with Emeline Ramos (shown right to left, in the photo at left) in the HOLAciudad! Orlando blog where his comedy video titled "Terapia de pareja: ¿Cuentas juntas o separadas?" about whether a couple should combine their bank accounts or keep them separate. Jesús E. Martínez has been steadily making a home for himself at Repertorio Español. In addition to acting in the theater's long-running productions of El Quijote and brand new production of En el nombre de Salomé, he will be joining the cast of the theater's productions of Crónica de una muerte anunciada and Doña Flor y sus dos maridos.
