HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

Claudio Weisz, shown at right, was featured in the New York weekly newspaper El Especial, as a result of his starring role in the Corezón production of Julio Ramón Ribeyro's El uso de la palabra. Directed by Diego Chiri and produced by Pablo Andrade, Yessi Hernández and Chiri, the two-hander also stars Javier Figuera and will be presented as part of the second season of Teatro SEA's Micro Teatro New York festival, which will run February through April at Teatro SEA's namesake theater in The Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural and Educational Center (home to HOLA) in Manhattan's Loísaida neighborhood. Manuel A. Titled La verdadera historia de Caperucita/The True Story of Little Red, it is written, directed and produced by Morán (with original music by Iván Alexander Bautista), features the acting talents of Palomo and Peláez, among others. The production will take place in March and April at Teatro SEA's namesake theater in The Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural and Educational Center (home to HOLA) in Manhattan's Loísaida neighborhood. To read the blog, which is in Spanish, click here.
