HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Jesús E. Martínez, Soledad López and Ángel Gil Orrios were featured in the Héctor Luis Sin Censura blog (edited by 2016 HOLA Awards recipient Héctor Luis Rivera) as a result of their participation in the Thalía Hispanic Theatre production of Apartment for Sale (tenant included)/Se vende apartamento (con inquilino)Written by Juan Carlos Rubio, the production co-stars López and Martínez and is produced, directed and designed by Orrios. The show will run in September and October at Thalía's eponymous theater located in the Sunnyside area of Queens. Alicia Kaplan and 2016 HOLA Awards recipient Alfonso Rey were both featured in separate articles in the New York weekly newspaper Impacto Latin News, where the former was highlighted for her recent tour of Colombia with the Danisarte production of Soliluna (created and directed by Kaplan) and the latter was lauded for his recent win of the Monologando Contando Ando festival for the solo show #Popular (written by Marcos Purroy and directed by Rey).
