HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

Moisés Acevedo, shown at right, is starting off 2016 with a bang. In addition, he will be guest-starring on an upcoming episode of the television series "Gotham" (Fox).

The production was last presented in December 2015 by Teátrica and Brooklyn Gypsies at the Bushwick Starr Theatre (located in Brooklyn's Bushwick neighborhood). To read the blog, click here.

Julio Ortega was interviewed by Héctor Luis Rivera in the third season opener of his web talk show "Héctor Luis Sin Censura", where he talked about his work as an actor-filmmaker, most specifically his award-winning feature film Medardo (written by Ortega and directed by Nitsy Grau Crespo), which most recently won an HOLA Award and which has just been released on DVD. For more information on the DVD, click here. To see the interview, which is in Spanish and which contains mentions of HOLA and of Ortega's Medardo costars Edna Lee Figueroa, Inma Heredia, Gloria Ospina, Edison Carrera, and Juan Villarreal, click on the video below.
