HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Solanyi Rodríguez, shown at right, is a cast member of the webseries "Fort Knox", where she plays Rosemarie. Executive produced by Rik Cordero and Lenny Santiago, it is directed by Jenn Needleman. Samuel Garnica, shown at left, will be performing in the concert preview musical Bethlehem (written and directed by Julián Mesri; with assistant direction by Laura Riveros; produced by Sans Comedia). The concert preview will take place on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 (in advance of a December run) at the St. Paul's Theater located in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn. For more information, click here.

Inma Heredia will be performing with BALAM Dance Theater as part of its new program Myths and Stars. The performance will take place on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the Leonia Public Library in Leonia, New Jersey. For more information, click here.

Cedric Leiba, Jr., shown at right, in character, is starring in The Marchers. A new music theater play, it features text from Bertolt Brecht, Jesús Colón, Sandra María Esteves, Baruch Israel, Yara Liceaga, Judith Ortiz Cofer, Salvatore Quasimodo, Jorge B. Merced, Rosalba Rolón and Walt Whitman; music from Demar Guevara, Gabo Lugo, Merced and Kurt Weill. Directed by Merced and produced by Pregones Theater-Puerto Rican Traveling Theater, it will enjoy a November run at the Puerto Rican Traveling Theater, located in the theater district of midtown Manhattan. Due to popular demand, the Teatro Tocando Puertas production of Dinorah Coronado's Secretos de mujeres is being remounted. Directed by Edison Carrera, the play will have a run in December at the Poets Den Theater, located in Manhattan's El Barrio neighborhood and feature Maritza Vives in the cast.
