HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

Marcelino Feliciano, shown at right, booked a role in the Douglas E. Huston play Saint Kristie. Produced by Andrew Martin and directed by Cas Marino, the production is part of the 2013 Fresh Fruit Festival and takes place in July at The Wild Project, located in Manhattan’s Loísaida neighborhood. Feliciano booked the role through an HOLA referral. For more information about the production, click here.

Cedric Miró booked a role in the feature film Being Kissed (directed by Alan Smithee).

Carlos A. González, shown at left, was interviewed in About.com about his work as an actor and standup comedian. To read the interview (which is in Spanish), click here.

Mauricio Pita has been quite in demand as of late. He booked a commercial for American Home Shield. He is also acting in the play Moon Songs (written by Sydney Bailey and directed by Freddy Mancilla). The production will take place in July at Theater 54 @ Shetler Studios (located near the Columbus Circle area of Manhattan) and is part of the Perchance To Dream Theatre’s One-Act Play Festival. For more information, click here. Finally, he will follow that up with a role in Guillem Castro’s La fuerza de la costumbre (also directed by Freddy Mancilla). The production will take place in August and September at Repertorio Español, located in the Rose Hill area of Manhattan. For more information, click here.
