HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Inma Heredia, shown at right, is one of the stars of the feature film Run It. The film, which has won several awards in the film festival circuit was directed by The Giovanis Brothers (Evangelos Giovanis and George Giovanis), stars Louis Zorich and Sam Coppola and is playing in Los Angeles and New York theaters. Due to popular demand, Teatro TEBA is presenting additional performances of the play Descalzas. Written by Cristián Cortez Galecio and directed by Héctor Luis Rivera, the play will present more performances in June at Teatro Soy in Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood and star Martha Alzate, Emir Cruz, Agar García, Fior Marte, Damiana Reyes, Kathy Tejada and Claudio Marcel Weisz.

Howard Collado starred in the short film Amarillo (written and directed by Arilyn Martínez). The film was screened at the 2013 Student Select Film Festival at
Brooklyn College. In addition, he is treading the boards in the play The Bromance of the Exes. Written and directed by Mim Granahan, the play will run in June (as part of the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity) at the Robert Moss Theatre, located in Manhattan's NoHo neighborhood. Jeannie Sol will be a guest performer at The Sunbeam Show (hosted by Harmonica Sunbeam) on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at El Morocco nightclub, located in Manhattan's Washington Heights/Harlem area. For more information, click here.

Carlos A. González booked a national print campaign for Budweiser.

Ángel Premier Solís, shown at left, will be presented with a Union City Artist Award for his work as an actor and poet. The awards ceremony will take place on Friday, June 7, 2013 at the William V. Musto Cultural Center in Union City, New Jersey.

ernández has just released his newest music collected. Titled American Mambo, the first single is the title track and a video of a remixed version of the song (featuring Dary Sánchez) was just released. See the video by clicking on the screen below
