HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

Víctor Cruz, shown at right, can be seen in the upcoming feature film The Other Woman, written by Melissa Stack and directed by Nick Cassavetes, and starring Cameron Díaz, Leslie Mann, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Kate Upton and Nicki Minaj. The film is scheduled to released nationwide, distributed by 20th Century Fox, on Friday, April 25, 2014.

Alberto Bonilla is preparing to direct a production of William Shakespeare's Richard III. Produced by The Queens Players, the production is scheduled for a February and March run at the Secret Theatre, located in the Long Island City neighborhood of Queens. For more information, click here.

Michael Díaz and Oscar Martínez (known by their nom de comédie Juan Bago and O) premiered their new viral video parody, "Lotion Girl" (directed by Robert Chong). To see the video (complete with outtakes and an ending scene after the closing credits), click below. (Note: Some strong language and a slight flash of partial nudity.) Marlene Forté was featured on the syndicated program "American Latino", where she was interviewed about her life and career. To see the interview, click on the video below. (Eagle-eyed viewers can see cameos, in stills of photos, of fellow HOLA members Liza Colón-Zayas and A.B. Lugo. In addition, the final shot is of Forté holding the HOLA Award she received for Excellence in Television.)
