HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Marlene Forté, shown at right, is starring in Oliver Mayer's play Blood Match. Directed by Edgar Landa, the Urban Theatre Movement production will run in November at the Sacred Fools theater in the Hollywood area of Los Angeles, California. For more information, and to get tickets, click here.

Rubén Roberto Gómez 
executive produced and stars in The Remake. The feature film is written and directed by Lynne Alana Delaney (who also co-stars) and co-stars Sally Kellerman, Robert Romanus, June Lockhart, Patrika Darbo, Sheila Korsi, and Larry King. The award-winning feature will have its initial release at the Laemmle Santa Monica Film Center in Santa Monica, California during the week of October 21-27, 2016.


Johary Ramos, shown at left, was mentioned in the New York weekly newspaper El Especial, as a result of his co-starring role in the Teatro Círculo production of Miguel Will. Written by José Carlos Somoza and directed by Dean Zayas, the play will be presented in October as part of the Alliance of Teatros Latinos - NYC Teatro Fest 2016 at the Rose Nagelberg Theater/Baruch Performing Arts Center, located in Manhattan's Rose Hill district. Teresa Yenque
had a guest-starring role in the first episode of "Divorce" (HBO).


The 2016 HOLA Awards recipients were highlighted in an article in the New York weekly newspaper Impacto Latin News.
