HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

Anthony Ruiz, Vanessa Verduga, and Adriana Sananes, shown at right, from left to right, were featured in an interview of Verduga by Raúl A. Reyes for NBC News, as a result of their participation as actors in Verduga's play Implications of Cohabitation. Directed by Leni Méndez, the play is running through August at the Harold Clurman Theatre at Theatre Row in the theatre disrict of midtown Manhattan. To read the article, click here.

Emilio Delgado guest-starred in an episode of "The Get Down" (Netflix).

Vladimir Ríos, shown at left, along with photographer Lester Blum, created two photo series– The Warrior of Hope and I Still Remember (both feature Ríos in a starring role in each photo series). A combination exhibit of both photo series will be used in conjunction with an educational program on HIV/AIDS at the SAGE Center, located in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. The work will be exhibited during the months of September and October. For more information on The Warrior of Hope, click here and here (note: some photos are not safe for work). For more information on I Still Remember, click here and here (note: some photos are not safe for work). Both photo series, as well as the pair's third collaboration, Invisible, have plans for exhibitions in other art galleries across the nation. For more information, click here
