HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to "gossip". In this sense, we use it to highlight HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

Ellis Vizcarrashown at right, booked a role in the Columbia University film short Rafael's Oboe (written and directed by Cristián Donoso; produced by Mark Castillo), after the director saw his profile in the HOLA online directory of talent and called him to audition

Jaime Carrillo can be seen acting in two episodes of "Saturday Night Live" (NBC) as well as in an episode of "Redrum" (Investigation Discovery).

Carla Caraballo and Jeannie Sol are co-starring in the play In Defense of Glitter and Rainbows. Written by Viviann True Rodríguez and directed by Andrés Chulisi Rodríguez, it will run in June at the Producers' Club Theater, located in the theater district of the midtown Manhattan. For more information on the production, click here or here.

Elaine Del Valle is gearing up for Season 2 of the HBO Latino interstitial series "Gran'pa Knows Best", for which she is a producer. Created, co-produced, directed, shot and edited by William D. Caballero and based on his award-winning short film How You Doin', Boy? Voicemails From Gran'pa, its star is Caballero's own grandfather Víctor Muriel (who voices the title character, itself a 3D model of Muriel). To see the trailer for the second season of "Gran'pa Knows Best", which will premiere on Friday, June 17, 2016, click on the video below.
