HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to "gossip". In this sense, we use it to highlight HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Juan Carlos Pinedo, shown at right, is about to play Pablo Picasso in Charles Mee's Picasso's Masterpiece. Part of The Immortals (a trilogy about Picasso, Matisse and Van Gogh), it is directed by Claire Beckman and produced by Brave New World Repertory Theater, and will have performances in May at the Glasshouse Art Life Lab, located in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. Venuz Delmar will act in the play Gracey. Written and directed by Bianca Rose Ambrosio, the play is part of the MRT Spring One-Act Play Competition 2016, taking place in March at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre, located in the theater district of midtown Manhattan.

Joel A. Luna, shown at left, booked a role on the television series "A Perfect Murder" (Investigation Discovery) after the casting director found his profile in the HOLA online directory and called him in to audition.

Alberto Burgos is co-starring in the play La Pasión 2016 (#LPMMXVI). Written and directed by Ediberto Saldaña, the Ekklesia Theater Company production will perform on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the Auditorio Santa Teresa (located in the Woodside area of Queens). For more information, click here.
