HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Allison Strong, pictured at right, reports that she has been nominated by the Hoboken Music Awards for Outstanding Female Solo Artist and Outstanding EP for her music collection titled Rewind. To vote for this singer-songwriter and Broadway veteran, click here. She will also be performing at Columbia University's Apologetics Café (located in the Manhattanville/West Harlem section of Manhattan) on Thursday and Friday, November 14 and 15, 2013. Luis Antonio Ramos, shown at left, was just offered the series regular role of Ruiz in the new television series "Power" (Starz). The series, an hour-long original drama, will be executive produced by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson and created by Courtney Kemp Agboh (of CBS' "The Good Wife"), who will also serve as an executive producer and showrunner. The series also stars Omari Hardwick, Lela Loren, Naturi Naughton and Joseph Sikora.

Abdel González booked a print ad campaign for Dell.

2013 HOLA Award recipient Mariana Parma is performing with Polly Ferman's GlamourTango (and all-female tango quintet with vocalists and dancers) for a special one-night only performance on Monday, November 18, 2013

Jack Landrón wrapped up work in the films Songs From a Blackbird (directed by Enrique Pedraza) and Old Havana (directed by Migdia Chinea). The actor-singer-songwriter will perform his songs on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at ArtShare in downtown Los Angeles, California. He will share the bill with the trio String Madness.
