HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Ángela Pérez and Melvin Vázquezshown above, left to right, booked roles on an episode of the television series "The Perfect Murder" (Investigation Discovery) after the casting director saw their photos on the HOLA online directory of talent and contacted them to audition.


Raúl Rivera is directing Rafael L. García Hernández's ¡Los enredos de la señorita Ivonne! The play, marking the debut of Coquí Theater, will be presented in December at the Fort George Presbyterian Church, located in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan.

Juan Francisco Villa, shown at right, is participating as a writer and director in the fifth annual INTAR One-Minute Play Festival. Presented by The One-­Minute Play Festival (#1MPF) and INTAR, it will be presented in December at INTAR's namesake space in the Hell's Kitchen/Clinton area of Manhattan. Inma Heredia is co-starring in the Iris Silverio play Soulmates or Nada. Directed by Silverio and Robert Domínguez, the play will be presented in December at Teatro LATEA at the Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural and Educational Center (home to HOLA) in Manhattan's Loísaida neighborhood.
