Update: Bob, Gordon, and Luis May RETURN to "Sesame Street" (Due To Fan Response)

Last week, on Thursday, July 28, 2016, we reported on El Blog de HOLA how the long-running children's television program "Sesame Street" was moving from PBS to HBO, and in the process, dropping three of its longtime performers Bob McGrathRoscoe Orman and HOLA member (and former HOLA honoree) Emilio Delgado.

Well, that may no longer be the case. Apparently, viewer reaction was swift and vociferous and the three actors may soon be having a meeting with the producers of "Sesame Street" to see what their future with the program may be. But don't take my word for it. Read what Emilio Delgado, pictured at left, posted on his Facebook fan page, at right (click on the image to make it larger). It is based on a communication received from Orman from the new producers of "Sesame Street" (which Delgado quoted), asking for a meeting with the actors.

Although we will not know the results of this meeting until at least September, it is encouraging to say the least. In the meantime, read the Sarah Larson article about them (and other cast members of the show) in the New Yorker by clicking here.
