HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Johary Ramos, shown at right, is starring in the holiday play Los Nutcrackers: A Christmas Carajo. Written and directed by Charles Rice-González, it is scheduled for a December run at the Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance (BAAD!), located in the Westchester Square area of the Bronx. 2014 HOLA Awards recipient Kathy Tejada, Héctor Luis Rivera (see below) and Jason Torres co-starred in the music video for the song "Asesinos" by the music group Mala Entraña (directed by Alan Aguilar).

Yvette Quintero and Héctor Luis Rivera (see above) are acting in the short film Quédate (written and directed by Wilton Reynoso), currently filming in New York City.

Pablo Andrade is currently shooting a role in the webseries "Just My Luck" (written and directed by Elisa Halma and Frank Delessio). For more information, click here.

J.W. Cortés hosted the 26th annual Long Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce gala, which took place at the Marriott Uniondale Hotel in Uniondale, New York. In addition, the actor-singer-activist was interviewed by Rosanna Scotto and Greg Kelly of the local Fox morning series "Good Day New York", where he spoke on his life and career, including his current role as Detective Álvarez in the hit Fox series "Gotham".
