HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to "gossip." In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members who are getting acting and performance gigs. The names of HOLA members are in boldface.

J.W. Cortés just wrapped up work on the Alexandre Moors film Blue Caprice (starring Tim Blake Nelson and Isaiah Washington. In addition, the Sarah Fimm video "Everything Becomes Whole" (in which he appears) has been released. The video clip can be seen below.

Tatiana Dellepiane booked a national commercial for Cuisinart.

Sarah Elizondo, shown at left, booked a role in the film 200 cartas (directed by Bruno Irizarry and starring Lin-Manuel Miranda and Mônica Steuer) after submitting herself on the casting notice announcement that HOLA sent to its members.]

Gilbert Cruz booked a role on the Showtime program "Nurse Jackie."

Caridad De La Luz (also known by her nom de poésie La Bruja) is performing along with famed poet Tato Laviera at the benefit Hoops for Haiti. Organized by City Employees Union Local 237 of the Teamsters, the event will take place at the Taíno Towers in Manhattan's El Barrio neighborhood on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 3pm and is to raise funds for the people of Haiti through the 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization Registered Nurses Response Network (RNRN).
