HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

Mateo Gómez, shown at right, is starring in the short film Part-Time Friends (written and directed by Jonathan Cheung). The short is currently in production in New York City.

Teatro SEA presented Las leyendas del cofre encantado/Legends of the Enchanted Treasure. Written by Manuel A. Morán and Richard Marino and directed (and starring) Morán, the show was presented in January and February at SEA's namesake theater located in the Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural and Educational Center (home to HOLA) in Manhattan's Loísaida neighborhood. Alma Martínez completed work on the feature films 6 Miranda Drive (directed by Greg Mclean and starring Kevin Bacon and Radha Mitchell) and Stevie D (written and directed by Chris Cordone).

Jason Torres can soon be seen in the feature film Underneath (directed by Jared Kasanofsky), which is in post-production. In addition , he is also starring in the short film The Usher (written and directed by Christopher Johnson). The film's trailer can be seen below.
