HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. J.W. Cortés, shown at right, is hosting and performing at the 85th annual League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) National Convention & Exposition, taking place between July 8-12, 2014 at the Hilton New York, located in midtown Manhattan. For more information, click here.

Mônica Steuer, Francisco Huergo and Soraya Padrao star in the film Cassanova Was A Woman (written by Jezabel Montero and directed by Kevin Arbouet), which is currently in post-production. The film also stars Montero, Margo Singaliese and Paolo Andino. For more information, click here.

Elaine Del Valle, shown at left, was profiled in Latin Heat, where it mentioned her summer residency of her award-winning self-penned solo show Brownsville Bred (directed by Pamela Moller Kareman) at the Nuyorican Poets' Café, located in Manhattan's Loísaida neighborhood. David Zayas completed work acting on the feature film The Wannabe (written and directed by Nick Sandow). The film, which is currently in post-production, also stars Vincent Piazza, Patricia Arquette, Michael Imperioli, Dough E. Doug, Mike Starr and Vincenzo Amato.
