HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Elaine Del Valle, shown at right, in character, was declared an "Editor's Pick" on Flavorpill for her award-winning self-penned solo show Brownsville Bred (directed by Pamela Moller Kareman), currently running at the Nuyorican Poets' Café (located in Manhattan's Loísaida neighborhood). Anthony Ruiz made another appearance as Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim (billed as "the wealthiest man in the world" or "the richest man in the world") on "Late Show with David Letterman" (CBS). Idalmis García nabbed a role in the film Forbidden Jones (directed by Art Jones).

María Fontanals booked a role in a film called The Park (written and directed by Eric Ingram).

Liza Colón-Zayas appeared in a video for Broadway.com, where she talks about the Stephen Adly Guirgis play Between Riverside and Crazy (directed by Austin Pendleton), currently playing at Atlantic Theater Company in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood and in which she stars.
