HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to "gossip." In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members who are getting acting and performance gigs. The names of HOLA members are in boldface.

Ismael Cruz Córdova, shown at right, was the subject of a profile in Puerto Rico's El Vocero newspaper, in which he talks about being resolute about challenging and overcoming stereotypes. One can read the article (which is in Spanish) about the 2011 HOLA Award-winner by clicking here.

Yanelba Ferreira nabbed a co-starring role on an episode of the television series "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (NBC).

Sosa James, Jr.
just completed filming on the short film Time (directed by Sayo Kashima and produced by World Frog Film Company), where he has a lead role.

Fernando Gamarra recently completed filming of the NYFA student film Good Morning Becky (directed by Qing Mei). He also shot a brand video for One Hope Wine (directed by Jason Klein).

William J. Vila is scheduled to sing the U.S. national anthem before the Major League Baseball day game between the San Francisco Giants and the New York Mets on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Citi Field, located in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens.

Jean-Marc Berne just recorded a Spanish-language radio spot for Ike and Mike in South Norwalk, Connecticut.

If you are an HOLA member and want to submit a bochinche item, send us an e-mail at holagram@hellohola.org. If you are not an HOLA member, why not join?
