HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to "gossip." In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members who are getting acting and performance gigs.

Éric-Dominique Pérez will be presenting his self-penned solo show El Gringuito at Teatro LATEA/Caicedo Productions' The ONE Festival. Directed by A.B. Lugo (with assistant direction by Bobby Baker and choreography by Deena "Snapshot" Clemente and Wanda "Wandeepop" Candelario), the play will have an April run at Teatro LATEA, located in the Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural and Educational Center (home to HOLA) in Manhattan's Loísaida neighborhood.

Lorraine Rodríguez booked a couple of episodes of the ABC specials entitled "What Would You Do?" (where she has played a thief, a woman on food stamps and a lesbian soldier). Click here to see her in action. The short film Taught to Hate, directed by James García Sotomayor (and in which she stars), is currently making the film festival circuit. Currently, she and Marc Reyes are working on an extra-special production expected to premiere in June 2011.

Yanelba Ferreira just completed work on the Reif music video "Thinking of You," where she played the singer's love interest.

Mario Golden's new play The Boxer's Son will have a workshop presentation. Directed by Andreas Robertz, the play will feature Golden, Teodorina Bello, Rosie Berrido, Vivienne Jurado, Jonathan Lara, Frank Robles and Douglas Taurel in the cast and have presentations in May at The Secret Theatre in the Long Island City section of Queens.

If you are an HOLA member and want to submit a bochinche item, send us an e-mail at holagram@hellohola.org. If you are not an HOLA member, why not join?
