HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

Ángel Dillemuth, shown at right, is co-starring in John Doble's To Protect the Poets. Directed by Alberto Bonilla, the play is being presented in August as part of the New York International Fringe Festival (fringeNYC) at Teatro SEA in The Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural and Educational Center (home to HOLA) in Manhattan's Loísaida neighborhood. For more information on the production (including how to buy tickets), click here.

A.B. Lugo appeared in the music video for the upcoming single from La Roka titled "Rock With It" (directed by Melissa Ulto). The video is currently in post-production.

Andrea Navedo is on the cover of the weekly New York magazine El Especialito (shown at left), where she was also interviewed in an article. Navedo can currently be seen treading the boards in New York in Jerry Sterner's Other People's Money. The play (which is being produced by James Price and Navedo) is directed by John Grabowski and runs through August at Shetler 54 Theatre in the theater district of midtown Manhattan. Caridad de la Luz (also known by her nom de poésie et de musique La Bruja) released a video of her performing an a cappella version of her piece "Nuyorico" for Livin' Americana. The video can be seen below.
