HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to "gossip". In this sense, we use it to highlight HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Caridad del Valle was profiled in an article in the weekly New York newspaper La Voz Hispana, where her starring role in the Pablo García Gámez solo show Yo no soy Lupita, is highlighted. Directed by Leyma López and produced by Alex Vásquez Escaño for Teátrica, the show will be presented in May at the Broadway Blackbox Theater (in the Washington Heights area of Manhattan). Larissa Santiago will be starring in the Anacaona Theater production of Las 1001 noches: Historias de amor en el corredor de la muerte. Written by Olga El, the play is adapted and directed by Edú, and will be presented in June as part of the VI Festival de Teatro Hispano del Comisionado, which will take place at the Sala de Teatro Rafael Villalona in the Comisionado Dominicano de Cultura en EEUU in Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood. Luis Salgado, shown at left, was profiled in the Repeated Islands blog, where his recent Fred & Adele Astaire Award nomination for Best Male Dancer on Broadway for his performance in the Estefan-Estefan-Dinelaris musical On Your Feet! was highlighted.
