HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to "gossip". In this sense, we use it to highlight HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Luis Salgado was profiled in the Puerto Rican daily newspaper Primera Hora, where his role as co-choreographer of the ABC musical remake of the feature film Dirty Dancing is highlighted, as well as his role as director of R.Evolución Latina. Natalia Ivana Escobar is part of the ensemble of Body: Anatomies of Being. Conceived and directed by Jessica Burr, the dance-theater piece was created by the ensemble of performers and features text by Matt Opatrny. Produced by blessed unrest [sic], the production will take place in April and May at the New Ohio Theatre (located in Manhattan's West Village). Edna Lee Figueroa, shown at left, in character, was featured in El Blog de Pablo (edited by Pablo García Gámez), where her role as actress and co-director in the two-hander Santa Bárbara es una femme fatale was highlighted. Written by Mariana Monclova and Camila Monclova, it will be produced by Producciones El Barrio, directed by Figueroa and Edmi De Jesús (who also co-stars), and will have its NYC premiere in April as part of the first annual Festival de Comedias TEBA, presented by the Teatro Experimental Blue Amigos at the Broadway Blackbox Theater in Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood.
