HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. HOLA Executive Director Manny Alfaro, shown at center with the festival board of directors in the photo at left, cut the ribbon officially inaugurating the En Un Acto Theater & Film Festival (presented by TEBA), scheduled to take place in November at the Broadway Blackbox Theater in Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood. The red carpet event culminated with a discussion by HOLA Board President Manolo García Oliva, shown above right, on the history of Puerto Rican theater in New York. 2015 HOLA Performer's Choice Award recipient María Cotto (also known by her nom de danse Mila Cotto), shown at right, is performing in the solo stilt performance Tireless (Incansable). 2015 HOLA Performer's Choice Award recipient J. Edgar Mozoub and the Group of the Arts is presenting El talismán. 2015 HOLA Performer's Choice Award recipient A.B. Lugo and Alphabeta Productions is presenting Field of Blood. Due to popular demand, the theatrical piece Elenita is being presented again for a command performance on Saturday, October 24, 2015.
