The New York International Fringe Festival (often abbreviated as fringeNYC) is celebrating its 19th anniversary this summer, presenting over 200 plays (and over 1100 performances) in 16 venues (plus a central command center) in downtown Manhattan over the course of 16 days in August. HOLA members are in several shows at the festival. Some of them are listed below.
• Musas
Written by Néstor Caballero and Iraida Tapias.

Joel Pérez, shown at left, was profiled in the Puerto Rican daily newspaper El Nuevo Día (and featured on the newspaper's cover), where he spoke about his life and career, specifically his playing several roles in his Broadway debut of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Fun Home (written by Jeanine Tesori and Lisa Kron, directed by Sam Gold and based on the Alison Bechdel graphic novel of the same name)currently playing at the Circle on the Square Theatre. A.B. Lugo and Laura Riveros are performing in a workshop of the new musical Bethlehem. Produced by Sans Comedia, it is written and directed by Julián J. Mesri, with assistant direction and stage management by Riveros. It will have a sneak preview in August at Dixon Place, located in Manhattan's Loísaida neighborhood.
