HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

Eduardo Luna, Danilo Arroyo and María Richardson presented The Latin Spring Short Films Show in April, a film festival of short films at the Broadway Blackbox Theater in Manhattan. The films included Bums (written and directed by Arroyo and starring Héctor Luis Rivera and Kathy Tejada), Touch and Go (written and directed by Víctor Yanik and starring Billy Martin Mejía), and Cinco centavos por botella (written by Andy Núñez, directed by Kelvin Sánchez and starring Mateo Gómez). For more information, check out Héctor Luis Sin Censura blog about it by clicking here. (Above, clockwise from top left: Rivera, Tejada, Mejía Gómez.)

Jason Torres just finished shooting the short films Confessions and The Decision (both written and directed by Omar Nicodemo).

Milteri Tucker performed at the 7th annual Taíno Awards, which took place in April at the Bronx Museum of Arts in the Morrisania area of the Bronx.

Liza Colón-Zayas and Gilbert Cruz guest-starred in a webisode of the internet series "Ayayay Witness News" (MiTú network). They can be seen playing Lucy Peralta and Uncle Ramiro, respectively, in the video below (note: some adult language). For more information, click here.
