HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. 2014 HOLA Award recipient Marco Antonio Rodríguez, shown at right, was profiled in Dominican Journal USA, where the actor-playwright-director spoke of Barceló con hielo, the play he wrote and in which he stars. The play is currently playing an extended run at Repertorio Español (located in the Rose Hill area of Manhattan. To read the article (which is in Spanish), click here

Inma Heredia and Eduardo Leáñez will be performing at Actors With Accents. A monthly series of performances produced by Leáñez and Patrick E. Horrigan, the next edition will take place on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Teatro Círculo, located in Manhattan’s East Village. For more information, click here

Susanna Guzmán booked roles in the television series “The Leftovers” (HBO) and “Power” (Starz).

Mel Nieves' play W.A.C. Iraq, will be presented by the Rochester Latino Theatre Company (RLTC) at the Rochester Fringe Festival. Directed by José Casado, the play will have a September run at RAPA's East End Theater in Rochester, New York. For more information, click here.

Jesús E. Martínez booked television and radio voiceover campaigns for Wendy's and Macy's.
