HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

Mathia Vargas, shown at right, booked a role on "My Crazy Love" (Oxygen).

José Roldán, Jr. will be performing his award-winning, self-penned solo show Father Forgive Me For I Have Sinned (directed by Dante Albertie) at Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, Massachusetts on Thursday, October 9, 2014.

Roberto Sanábria is in the cast of Chuck Mee's bobrauschenbergamerica. Produced by The Brewing Dept. (TBD) and staged by Emily Kaplan, the show will take place outdoors in August in Riverside Park (near the West 108 Street entrance in Manhattan's Upper West Side). For more information, click here

Juan Villarreal and 2014 HOLA Award recipient Teresa Yenque wrapped up work on the short film Ramón y Adriana (written and directed by Francisca Alegría). The film was shot in Saugerties, New York. Both booked this two-character film after reading about it in the daily announcements HOLA sends to its members and then self-submitting. They can be seen in character on set in the photo during filming at left.

If you are an HOLA member or a Friend of HOLA and want to submit a bochinche item, send us an e-mail. If you live in the New York metropolitan area and want to be an HOLA member, why not join? If you live outside the New York metropolitan area and want to be an HOLA member, you can find out more information on how to do so, by clicking here. If you are not a Friend of HOLA, why not become one?
