HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

David Zayas, shown at right, landed the recurring role of Sal Maroni in the upcoming Fox series “Gotham”. For more information, click here

Éric-Dominique Pérez nabbed a role in the short film Banished (directed by Deirdre Towers).

Howard Collado wrapped up filming the short film The Game (written and directed by Rey Hungría).

Jay Santiago booked the role of Dr. Sterling in the upcoming online horror miniseries “Voodoo Church”.

Lucio Fernández, shown at left, is one of the artists participating in the art installation called “Our Cry”. Taking place in Union City, New Jersey, it is the largest art installation in the city’s history and its centrepiece will be the unveiling of the monument titled “Comfort Women”. The monument honors the women forced into sexual slavery by the Japanese during World War II. The opening will take place on Monday, August 4, 2014 at the city’s Liberty Plaza (located at the corner of 30th Street and Palisade Avenue). For more information, click here. In addition, Fernández is starring in “Comfort” (written and directed by Jung Han Kim), which will run at The Bruno Walter Auditorium at New York’s Lincoln Center.
