ÉXITO: From Latin America to New York
Many agree that the road from Latin America to New York is not easy sailing, but with a strategic path followed the rewards are rich. We feature two of our Latin American-born filmmakers who have seen their feature films premiere at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival (only five Latin American films out of 89 features) and the New York International Latino Film Festival. Hear how one casts, directs and negotiates with actors and how another found his documentary subject by taking a risk on an upcoming sports figure, following him over three continents to win a boxing championship. Listen to their specific journey, focused path and how they succeed in narrative and documentary filmmaking. Join us and be part of this movement!

6-8pm: Networking

8-9pm: TÍO LOUIE Reporta/Chat: Two Interviews and Networking in between each
