HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Rafael Bello, shown at right, can be seen reporting on the sports for "Noticiero Telemundo Nueva York Fin de Semana" on WNJU 47 (Telemundo's New York affiliate). He also files special reports for the 6 & 11pm weekday newscasts for the same channel.

Nanda Abella booked a series of Spanish-language commercials for Walmart.

J.W. Cortés sang at the Veterans Day Parade in New York City, after which he sang the Star-Spangled Banner aboard the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid on the Hudson River. The actor-singer-filmmaker also reports that following a highly successful film festival run and a series of community-based screenings, his short film Conscientious Objector is now available to rent and watch online, or for purchase. The film, which was shot by Edwin Pagán, stars Cortés, Giselle Rodríguez Forté, Mônica Steuer, Martín Chávez, Jorge Humberto Hoyos, Kutcha, Marisol Carrere (see below), Gilbert Cruz, Michael Galante, Irene Pérez, Jaime Santana and Kareem Saviñón.
